Have you ever wondered what it's like to live like a Gypsy? Maybe even fantasized about ditching the job, hitting the road, and living free? While I never felt the need to chuck everything and live without restraint, I did want to learn more about the people who inspired philosophers like Unamuno and the poets Garcia Lorca and Antonio Machado to write so passionately. I was curious about this part of Spain hidden from most travellers. Then one day I finally stopped wondering and started planning an incredible odyssey. I went to Spain and lived among the Gypsies--among the most loving, generous, humble people I have ever met. I'd like to take you back there with me. To a part of Spain few people see. As Francis Bacon wrote in 1625, "Let the traveller separate hmself from his countrymen and lie in such places where there is good company of the nation where he travels." I did this by living in the home of a Spanish Gypsy Pastor and his extended family. If you'd like to come on an incredible journey, follow me to my blog: The White Tent. My life was changed in ways I could never have imagined by this experience. I hope yours will be too.
